Ali Kellner has navigated diverse roles within the animation industry for over a decade, driven by a passion for crafting original content and cultivating intellectual properties. Hailing from Montreal, she honed her talents at Concordia University before earning her Bachelor of Animation from Sheridan College, where she specialized in classical animation and design.
Ali's 2017 film, "Nana," has earned widespread acclaim, boasting recognition at more than 35 film festivals worldwide, including nods from TIFF Canada's Top Ten and Air Canada En Route, and securing numerous awards. Her professional journey spans a spectrum of roles, from animating for children's programming such as "Bravest Warriors" to directing shorts for PBS Kids and storyboarding for esteemed projects like "Corner Gas Animated" on CTV and "Super Simple Songs" on YouTube, among others. Notably, Ali also co-directed advertising materials for distinguished events such as the Toronto Animated Arts Festival Intl. and the TAAFI Industry Festival in 2019 and 2020.
Beyond her artistic endeavors, Ali teaches animation to the next generation of animators at Sheridan College, where she mentors students as they complete their third-year films. Most recently, she co-founded an animation studio with her husband in Hamilton, Ontario, balancing this endeavor alongside her teaching commitments.
Embarking on her latest chapter at Mohawk, Ali brings a wealth of experience to the school, with a commitment to ensuring each student discovers their passion and achieves success.
