Brian MacDowall is the Program Coordinator for the General Arts and Science programs at Mohawk College. Brian received his Honours Bachelor of Arts (MA, 2006) from Victoria College at the University of Toronto, and a Masters (MA, 2007) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD, 2017) in History from York University. With comprehensive speciality in Canada, U.S., and Modern European fields, Brian’s academic research and peer-reviewed publications examine post-Confederation Canadian grassroots political movements between Indigenous nations and settler communities. Brian is a passionate educator and has taught extensively at a number of post-secondary institutions in Ontario for more than fifteen years. When not teaching, Brian enjoys running, writing science fiction, and cheering/jeering the Leafs.
