Cameron Redsell-Montgomerie joined the college’s department of Mathematics in the Fall of 2018. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, and a Master of Science in Statistics, from the University of Guelph.
Before becoming a professor at Mohawk College Cameron worked as a Math Learning Strategist at Centennial College and the Math Centre Coordinator at Humber College. In both of these roles he supported a team of University of Waterloo Co-op students and Peer Tutors, to tutor students from across the college in all math related subjects. In their spare time they built and maintained a YouTube Channel, social media presence, and hosted events and outreach to encourage a love of mathematics. The team also completed a number of college wide applied research projects, and won a series of awards investigating their drop-in tutoring model and its impact on students.
Cameron is always looking for ways to innovate and include new technologies in and outside the classroom. He believes in diving deep into a subject, and exploring its roots, giving students a solid foundation and understanding.
