Carol has taught English at Mohawk College for over 30 years. She holds a B.A. (high distinction) in Linguistics and a TESL Certificate (honours) from the University of Toronto. She is an Ontario Certified ESL teacher (OCELT). In addition to her current roles as coordinator and professor in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program, Carol also taught and designed curriculum in Communications, Literature, and French for 20 years in the Communication & Global Studies department, served as a professor and coordinator at Mohawk’s Fukuyama campus in Japan, and began her career in 1990 in Mohawk’s Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. She particularly enjoys developing curriculum and helping students to improve their reading and speaking fluency, pronunciation, and intercultural competence.
