I have many years of teaching, advocacy and community building, working with the Hamilton Family Network, and then as Transition Coordinator with the HWCDSB. I traveled to Zambia to promote inclusion on behalf of the UN Conventions on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, helping to design and set up CICE programs at Mohawk College and in consultation with Niagara College. Receiving several awards and acknowledgments for my service. Civitan for Inclusion Award 2004, Emma Hardy International Inclusion Away 2005, MSA Teacher of the Year Award Mohawk College in 2015, and nominated for YWCA Woman of Distinction for Hamilton.
My Education: I received a Developmental Service Work Diploma from St.Lawerence College and went onto to gain my Bachelor of Arts Degree with Ryerson University Disabilities Studies Honours Program.
