Cheryl Burns has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from McMaster University. She has 12 years of experience as a private investigator, conducting both criminal and civil investigations, and managed a branch office of a leading private investigation agency for 5 years. As an investigator/manager Cheryl conducted patent, trademark and copyright infringement and insurance fraud investigations, located and interviewed witnesses, prepared witness statements, conducted undercover operations, and completed pre-employment screening and asset searches. Cheryl has 25 years of experience teaching adult learners at Mohawk College, created the continuing education private security and investigation programs, and coordinated the development and implementation of the Pre-Justice certificate program. She is a certified Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Mental Health First Aid trainer.
