Darin Bristow is an award-winning creative artist, designer, and studio leader powered by 30 years of industry experience. Darin has developed and championed a vast portfolio of projects that include TV/Streaming series, YouTube shorts, Hollywood Feature Films as well as produced & directed Animated and Live-Action Music Videos for legendary rock acts such as Sammy Hagar (Van Halen), Big Sugar, and Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame recipient, Kim Mitchell.

Recognized within industry as a rare talent who possesses a vast understanding of the three core pillars of production (creative, technical, financial), Darin has held positions such as: executive creative director, producer, art director, graphic designer, production consultant, and technical director. Darin’s work as a development executive in charge of spearheading new content was a major factor in securing new clients and production work totalling approx. $65 million as of this writing. Darin's most recent production credit is the upcoming Netflix/Nickelodeon SpongeBob Feature Film: "Saving Bikini Bottom- A Sandy Cheeks Movie", where Darin acted as Supervising Producer.

Darin is also a triple graduate of Sheridan College’s world-renowned Animation program (where he was a student under the guidance of Mohawk’s Charlie Bonifacio) and more recently completed his 3D Animation Master's Degree, receiving First Class Honours and a 4.0 GPA.


As a Professor, Darin is a SME (subject matter expert) in the disciplines of Animation Design/Art Direction, Animation, Story, and Portfolio Development and has written curriculum and micro-credentials for various College-level institutions and was the longest serving Chair of Sheridan College's Program Advisory Committee (PAC), having served in this capacity for almost a decade.

Darin loves recognizing & nurturing new talent and is very excited to again be working under the talents of Mohawk Program Coordinator Charlie Bonifacio in championing the progressive vision of Associate Dean, Dr. Lisa Funnell.
