James draws on an excellent combination of education and work experience in his teaching practice.
James is a graduate of the Mohawk College Urban and Regional Planning Program, also holds an undergraduate degree in Urban Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University and a master degree in Urban Design Studies from the University of Toronto. In addition to his professional credentials, James is also a Registered Professional Planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP).
He has over a decade of experience in the planning field, holding positions as a planning technician, planner, senior planner and manager of development planning. His experience has grown through working with upper and lower tiers of government in GTHA, Waterloo Region and Simcoe County.
