Kristy has over 30 years of experience managing abnormal/aggressive behaviours from young children to adults as well as crisis intervention in a multitude of community and treatment settings. During these times, her experience encapsulates over 30 years of experience working with individuals with different disorders ranging from Concurrent Disorders, Conduct Disorder, Sociopaths, Oppositional Defiance, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder, Self Abuse, Personality Disorders and Attachment Disorders.
She has been educated and working in the Criminal Justice and Mental Health field since 1992 and has her bachelor’s degree in Social Development Studies through the University of Waterloo.
Kristy has worked in various capacities over the years from working with those with Dual Diagnosis in group homes and Supportive Independent Living. As well, she worked in a secure Youth Detention Centre (12-16 years old) and Intensive Mental Health treatment with children and youth ages 6 to 14 years old. Currently, she is employed as a Probation and Parole Officer with adults for the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
