Marin is the owner and Creative Director of Kitestring, a design and marketing agency serving community-based businesses in Hamilton and the surrounding area. With a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Linguistics (TESL) and a Graduate Certificate in Autism & Behavioural Science, she finds energy in connecting with people and communicating big ideas.
Marin is a proud graduate of the Mohawk College Graphic Design program and a Certified RGD with the Association of Registered Graphic Designers. Since graduating, she has supported Mohawk College students through placement opportunities, the Graphic Design Program Advisory Committee (PAC), and as a member of the Graphic Design faculty. As a professor, Marin brings her knowledge of branding and campaign design, working in an agency environment, and running a sustainable design business to her teaching. She emphasizes to her students the importance of accessibility in design and the power of design to make the world a better place.
