Robert Nowell is a Canadian award winning photographer who started his own photography business over thirty years ago. He’s a full-time professor in the Photography Still + Motion program at Mohawk College.
Robert has served as chair of the Professional Photographers of Canada-Ontario and of the Hamilton Niagara Branch of PPOC.
Robert is co founder and director of Sprout Studio, a studio management software for photographers. He is also host of the photography podcast, photoPROS.
He is formally trained in photography and holds a Photography Diploma from Fanshawe College. Robert has provided commercial images to clients such as US Energy, Johnson Mathey, Proctor and Gamble, World Vision Canada, StateFarm Canada, Iona Appliances, Great Gulf Homes and many more.
His portrait portfolio includes images of Phil Collins, Darryl Hall, Louise Pitrie and other well known personalities.
Robert is confident that great things lie ahead for photography professionals and is grateful for the opportunities he’s been given to contribute back to the industry at Mohawk College.
