I am a proud Mohawk College graduate from the Early Childhood Education program. After graduating from Mohawk College, I spent 18 years in the field of ECE working with families and children.
I am currently working on a Bachelor of Arts degree in Disability Studies at Ryerson University and I am on the dean’s honour roll.
I have been teaching at Mohawk College for the past 14 years in Early Childhood Education, Career Pathways, Community Integration through Co-operative Education, Dual credit, City School and Apprenticeship – Child Development Practitioner.
I am also the co-founder and co-chair of a registered Canadian charity in Hamilton supporting families that have children with disabilities. I am a recent recipient of the Order of Hamilton Award for my volunteer work in Hamilton. Previously, I received a Provincial award from the Council for Exceptional Children for my work in advocating for children with special needs and their families.
I am fully trained in Mindfulness and Mental Health First Aid.
