Tara Dinyer is a dedicated professor in the Pre-Health Sciences program at Mohawk College, bringing both academic expertise and real-world industry experience to her students. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Science from McMaster University.

Tara has worked extensively in acute care, home care, and long-term care settings, with a focus on wound care and orthopedics. Her diverse healthcare background complements her fitness industry experience, allowing her to offer students a well-rounded and practical learning environment.

Over the course of her career, Tara has taken on many roles in the wellness and fitness field, including fitness facility manager, presenter, personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and strength and conditioning coach. She is also a certification course conductor, helping to train and mentor the next generation of fitness professionals.

Tara currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Community Support Centre Haldimand Norfolk. She is also a successful small business owner and was a Small Business of the Year nominee for Haldimand Norfolk in 2018.

Her leadership and excellence in teaching have been widely recognized, earning her the 2024 Mohawk College President’s Award of Excellence – Faculty, the CiCAN Gold Award for Leadership – Faculty, and the title of Sachem Readers’ Choice Fitness Instructor of the Year from 2016 through 2023.
