Salary –$47,073 to $52,962 annually

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor, Housing UP will assist the Manager, Housing UP to ensure effective, efficient daily operation of the program within the general policies and guidelines of Mission Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for supporting program case management activities. This will include all aspects of client case management with a focus on housing placement activities
- Support performance management of Case Workers in consultation with the program manager by completing file reviews, observing case management notes/client interactions
- Ensure the keeping of systematic and accurate statistics and case file records within designated program areas, and provide reports to the Program Manager as required
- Collaborate with the Landlord Liaison Team and Case Managers to ensure coordination of housing placements by making decisions about funding sources for first/last month rent payments and other expenditures
- Support the ongoing review, innovation and development of programs, policies and procedures in consultation with the Manager, Housing UP
- Participate in regular program management meetings
- Support staff recruitment activities
- Deliver staff training and coach new Case Managers as well as providing in the moment direction to Case Managers on a case by case basis
- Serve as the management representative on the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
- Represent the program on assigned community committees, providing reports and participation in consultation with the Director, Housing UP
- Work safely, identify any health and safety concerns and report to management
- Follow Mission Services workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times

- Additional projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in human or social services, or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years related experience in related management role preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Comprehensive understanding and history of supporting marginalized populations and individuals experiencing homelessness
- Demonstrated understanding of issues relevant to a housing first programming; knowledge of social assistance, human service best practices, the local housing market and community resources
- Ability to enhance and maintain the program, and build professional relationships with staff and community agencies and partners
- Confident decision maker with excellent organizational, supervisory, and interpersonal skills. Must be an enthusiastic team builder and motivator
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other management tools
- Committed to uphold the organization’s mission, values and standards
HOURS OF WORK:
- 37.5 hours per week
COMPENSATION:
- *Hourly wage up to $27.16 per hour (starting rate dependent upon level of experience)
- *Benefits after 3-months of continuous, active employment
- Group RRSP employer matching up to 3% after one (1) year of continuous employment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Two-Step Tuberculosis Skin Test
- Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination, or willingness to register to receive these vaccinations as soon as possible
