Social Inc is hosting a Wednesday Film Recommendation Double Feature for the National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack and Action against Islamophobia.

"Quebec City Mosque Shootings Memorial: Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia"

"Memorial to commemorate the January 29th Quebec City Mosque Shootings and mourn its victims. During this memorial, Vancouver City Hall was lit up to remember the victims."

"Senate report highlights rise of Islamophobia in Canada – November 2, 2023"

"Members of the Senate human rights committee discuss the findings of their report entitled ‘Combatting Hate: Islamophobia and its impact on Muslims in Canada.” Speaking with reporters are committee chair Salma Ataullahjan, Mobina Jaffer, and Amina Gerba. The report underscores the rise in Islamophobia across the country and presents 13 recommendations aimed at addressing this issue. It calls for increased educational resources, new Criminal Code offences for hate-motivated crimes as well as increased data collection by Canada Revenue Agency’s charities directorate. The committee took fact-finding missions to four provinces as part of its year-long study."
