Join the Internal Alumni Engagement Committee (IAEC)

 

Did you know Mohawk College has an alumni network of over 134,000 graduates? These graduates have received a quality education and moved forward to be successful in their careers and make a difference in their communities.

Maintaining strong relationships with graduates is essential to the success of the college. Alumni are not only ambassadors of their education and Mohawk experience - their contributions as donors and volunteers enrich learning, inspire, and support Mohawk students in becoming Job Ready.

The Alumni Relations team is excited to introduce the Internal Alumni Engagement Committee with representation of departments across the college. This committee will seek to better serve the college’s engagement and philanthropic goals while enhancing collaborative partnerships.

We look forward to working with you in discovering new ways alumni can be engaged with the college and support students in meaningful ways.

The Role of the IAEC?

  • Engage in strategic discussions
  • Identify the importance of alumni engagement
  • Foster a culture of purposeful engagement
  • Build a culture of alumni volunteerism
  • Identify college wide alumni volunteer opportunities
  • Capture campus wide alumni engagement
  • Identify opportunities for partnership

IAEC Member Terms

  • Each member will be appointed for a 2 year term and may be reappointed for another 2 year term
  • Council membership will be 12- 16 members
  • The representation will include faculty, support and administration employees
  • Council members can be recommended and/or appointed by their VP, Chief, Dean or Registrar
  • Meetings will be held quarterly
