LINC English classes in Caledonia Public Library

In partnership with the Haldimand County Library, Mohawk College brings the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) English program to Caledonia. 

Program highlights:

  • Feel more confident when communicating in English: improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Expand your understanding of Canadian culture: learn about housing, banking, education, the health system, and more
  • Access valuable resources at the college

Class schedule:

  • Tuesdays or Thursdays, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, plus online work through the learning management system

LINC is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and is offered at no cost to :

  • permanent residents of Canada, protected persons (with the Notice of Decision), Ukrainian temporary residents or their dependants in Canada (until March 31, 2025), and temporary residents affected by the crisis in Gaza (showing “MOME2023” in status documentation until March 31, 2027);
  • 18 years old or older
