Schulich Builders Scholarship

1 of 5

The Schulich Builders Scholarship application will be available until June 30, 2024.

Schulich Builders are scholarships for students enrolling in an eligible, full-time skilled trades program at a participating college in Ontario. Ten colleges award a total of 100 scholarships annually. Each college will award ten scholarships:
Five $20,000 scholarships for one-year certificate programs
Five $40,000 ($20,000 per academic year) scholarships for two-year diploma programs

These scholarships support the costs of tuition, tools and living expenses.

This application contains 4 pages and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

How will I receive this award?

The College will disburse each scholarship to the Schulich Builders recipients as follows:

  1. the year’s tuition will be deducted from the value of the scholarship at the beginning of each academic year (such that no Schulich Builder will be required to go out-of-pocket as a result of such tuition)
  2. $6,000 will be paid after the add/drop date of each academic semester; and
  3. an amount equal to the difference resulting when the payments in (1) and (2) are deducted from $20,000 will be paid on completion of the academic year.

For clarity, except for the tuition amount set out in (1) above, all funds must be paid to each recipient's bank account by e-transfer or by cheque, and not merely credited to his/her student account at the College.

Recipients will need to confirm their SIN through MyMohawk (opens new window) on the Home page under "Submit or verify my SIN" as funds received through this application are taxable and receiving an award will generate a T4A tax document.
