Institute for Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) at McMaster
Mohawk College has partnered with McMaster University to provide a world-class health sciences education through the Institute of Applied Health Sciences. The IAHS is home to many state-of-the-art facilities that will prepare students for everything the medical world has to throw at them.

Every health science program at Mohawk offers experiential learning opportunities through the Institute of Applied Health Sciences. The IAHS provides high-fidelity simulated work environments as well as real world clinical placement experiences.

Clinical Practice Collaboratory
The Clinical Practice Collaboratory (CPC) located in the IAHS is an inter-professional learning environment designed for students enrolled in all Health Sciences programs. The CPC is equipped to give you the experience of accessing clinical information and best evidence at the bedside.
Clinical Practice Collaboratory
The simulated work environments offered by the Clinical Practice Collaboratory at the IAHS encourage you to drop-in and practice on your own, with a friend, or with a CPP technologist. Library staff are available to help you hone your information seeking skills, too!

The Professional Practice Collaboratory
The Professional Practice Collaboratory (PPC) located in the IAHS is home to 8 practice labs and 4 simulation suites. These simulated work environments feature settings meant to mimic hospitals, long-term care, and patients' homes, all equipped with the tools students will be using in hospitals.
