Instructional Designers (ID)
Instructional Designers (IDs), advise and assist faculty in their program and course (re)design and development, in addition to the adoption and integration of learning technologies in their teaching practices. Central to this is the training and support for MyCanvas tools, like Quizzes, Rubrics, Dropboxes, Discussions, etc., as well integrated systems, like the Kaltura (streaming media and video capture system), Respondus Lockdown Browser, H5P, etc.. The IDs can also provide project-based video and/or multimedia production services by request.
Curriculum & Program Quality Consultants (CPQC)
Curriculum & Program Quality Consultants (CPQC) assist faculty with program and course development including, curriculum design, curriculum mapping, course outlines, course design, assessments & evaluation, active learning experiences, lesson planning and more! CPQCs also support academic quality processes related to Comprehensive Program Review, Annual Curriculum Committee Meetings, New Program Development across credentials, and can answer questions about Provincial standards and requirements, including the Credential Validation Service (CVS), the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB) and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU).
Teaching & Learning Consultants (TLC)
Teaching & Learning Consultants (TLC) work collaboratively with program areas, academic departments, and organizational development to support educator development in a variety of areas. Teaching & learning strategies, intercultural and global competence, Indigenous pedagogy, and Universal Design for Learning are specialized skillsets included within this team. The role of the Professor, Teaching & Learning Consultant is to support educators and learners in the implementation of Mohawk College's Strategic Plan and its commitment to sound pedagogy, inclusion, access, and equity in all learning environments.
Digital Skills & Academic Technology
The Digital Skills & Academic Technology Team provides frontline, just-in-time support for students, faculty, and staff at Mohawk College. Based in the Digital Creativity Centre (EA105, Fennell Campus), the team helps users navigate digital tools like MyCanvas, email, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365, and more. They offer workshops, certifications, bookable spaces, and personalized consultations—both virtually and in-person.
The LMS Administrator supports the integration and maintenance of educational technologies into our Learning Management Systems, MyCanvas and Connect, managing maintenance and third-party updates. Together, we’re advancing digital education at Mohawk.
