What you'll learn
- How to create precision parts for a wide variety of applications.
- Hone your skills in order to work with precision parts to within tolerances of .001”/.01mm
- Acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills associated with various machine tools including drill presses, grinders, saws as well as both manual and computer numerical control (CNC) mills and lathes.
- Understand the concepts of metrology which include the use and care of precision measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Learn to write and post CNC programs, create drawings in Mastercam and manufacture parts to specific tolerances on 3 and 4-axis CNC machines.

- 7,280 hours of on-the-job work experience with your employer
- 720 hours of in-school training at Mohawk College
