What you'll learn

Acquire specialized training in hand and power tools, piping materials, plumbing fixtures, supports and appurtenances and workplace safety.
Master the skills of plan reading, pipe layout, cutting, grooving, fitting, joining and supports.
Plan, layout and install plumbing materials according to plans, specifications and building codes in both residential and industrial-commercial institutional (ICI) construction.
Install and repair potable water systems, backflow preventers, drainage, wastewater and venting systems, hot water tanks and heating systems, gas piping, grease and oil interceptors.
Understand the importance of workplace safety, building codes and regulations.
Build a gratifying career as a qualified journeyperson in the skilled trade of plumbing.

Admission

Offers of classroom training are issued by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training & Skills Development and registered with Skilled Trades Ontario.
