Accommodation Process
As a BScN or RPN to BScN student, you will work directly with Mohawk College Accessible Learning Services (ALS) regarding your accommodation needs. ALS is responsible for developing and revising, as required, your Accommodation Letter including accommodations for clinical and field placements.
In collaboration with your Mohawk College Accessibility Counsellor, you will discuss your accommodation needs and develop/revise your Accommodation Letter.
ALS will send your Accommodation Letter to McMaster Student Accessibility Services (SAS) who will copy your accommodations into their system so that you can access your accommodations for any McMaster Health Science courses.
You are required to make an Accommodation Renewal through your Accommodate portal every semester. ALS will send your Accommodation Letter to you, SAS, and the Assistant to the Associate Dean - Health Sciences.
Sending The Accommodation Letter
To ensure your accommodations are in place for your courses, it is important that you forward the email containing your Accommodation Letter to your Professors. Your Accommodation Letter is in the body of the email you receive from ALS. For assistance with forwarding the email please contact an Accessibility Support Officer by email at aso [at] mohawkcollege.ca (aso[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca).

For McMaster Health Science courses and McMaster electives, please follow the test booking procedures that are emailed to you by SAS.

Test bookings must be submitted at least 7 days in advance of your test date and time. These tests can be booked using our online web form.
