This event will explore the intersectionality of the lived and shared experiences of black students and staff within the Mohawk College community. Through dissecting different themes such as “What it Means to Be Black” Student Life and the Mohawk Student Association aim to celebrate the individuality of those within our community who identify as having origins to the African diaspora.
Some identities that include but are NOT limited to:
- African
- Afro Latino/Latina/Latinx
- Afro Indigenous
- Afro Caribbean
- West Indian
- Bi-Racial/Multiracial
- African American
