"Indigenous Women's Leadership Series: The Next Generations"
"During last year’s International Women’s Day webinar, The Trailblazers of Conservation, The Honourable Ethel Blondin-Andrew reminded us of the importance of youth and the next generations: “It's just magic to see young people change when they’re on the land. It hits on another issue – healing on the land – for me. That is such an integral part of what we’re supposed to be doing.”
In this session, we heard from young Indigenous women who are leading efforts to heal relationships with the lands and waters by revitalizating languages, knowledges, and teachings. These young women are lending their voices, energy, and strength for social and environmental justice to ensure there is a bright future for the generations to come."
