"People For Sale: Human Trafficking in Canada"

"The term ‘human trafficking’ may subconsiously render an image of a third world country with sub-optimal law enforcement conditions in a lot of our minds. But it's shocking to learn how much of this organized crime is rampant even in our own city of Edmonton and larger Canada. Explore with Jocelyn Davison, how humans are treated as one of the most highly traded ‘commodities’ in the world, the size of this criminal industry, its impact in our own communities & actions we can take on our own to mitigate the onslaught on our future. Jocelyn Davison, founder of The Virtual Effect an event planning and branding company in Edmonton, curates connection and impact through meaningful events. Through her work with clients she creates event experiences that weave seamlessly into their brand and client connections. Jocelyn runs her own series of events called Elevate, in which she creates opportunities for real connection and education on significant world issues through her Impact Events. Her heart lays in giving back to the community, working with people who are making an impact, and creating real relationships."
