Financial Resources

MyMohawk Scholarships and Bursaries Application

Did you know that you can apply for awards every semester through the MyMohawk Scholarships and Bursaries Application? Completing this profile puts you in consideration for all Mohawk College scholarship and bursaries? Our WiTT team sponsors these opportunities for women in technology and trades programs through our RBC Future Launch funding.

Continuing Education Career Exploration Funding

We are committed to helping women explore technology and trades fields, and up-skill in your current field. Through our RBC Future Launch funding, we have made a support fund available for any female students taking trades or technology courses through Continuing Education. Funding can be upwards of $500, and are made at the discretion of the instructor. Financial Literacy Resources

Are you unsure about how to build a budget, or how to deal with financial uncertainties? Do you want to hear from a guest speaker, or meet with a team member to discuss finances and build a plan? Explore this and more by visiting Mo'Money.

Child Care Fee Subsidy Hamilton (External)

Did you know that the City of Hamilton offers child care fee subsidies? If your children are under the age of 12, you can apply for financial support by Visiting the City of Hamilton website.

Entrepreneurship

Do you have a startup idea, or are you an aspiring entrepreneur? Have you already started your business but need advice or support? The Agency is an experiential learning facility operating within the McKeil School of Business at Mohawk College. Students from a variety of programs including Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Graphics, Broadcast Media, Journalism and Photography collaborate in developing real world marketing and communications solutions for selected businesses in the greater Hamilton area.

Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF)

BASEF provides opportunities for youth in grades 7-12 to explore STEM fields. Individuals under the age of 21 can participate in their yearly competition to earn recognition and prizing, such as trips, scholarships and cash.

In addition, BASEF has opportunities for all students and alumni to participate in a large community of professionals, including volunteer opportunities. The BASEF website also includes links to many other resources and events for technology and trades.

Child Care Supports (External)

EarlyON offers programs for children under the age of six, both virtually and in person. These centres offer welcoming environments to play and learn. They also provide parents and caregivers the chance to maintain their work-life balance while ensuring their kids are safe and supported.

WiTT Kits

We are looking to give Mohawk College students the opportunity to develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) themed outreach kits. This opportunity will help you further develop knowledge of their field and program, or explore new fields. This opportunity will also allow you to gain experience in project management, presentation skills, and more.

The WiTT STEM Kits are developed by students, for students, under the advisement of a faculty mentor. The kits are aimed at elementary school, high school, and College students.  Learn more about the kits and try them out.
