Nathaniel grew up in small town Ontario. He struggled with behaviour in school. They said he didn’t pay attention. In high school he discovered skateboarding and fell full into it. At first, enjoying the rebel culture. And later connecting with the independence of the sport. That has stayed with him until today. He has always enjoyed design and architecture. He pursued his education in Architectural Technology at Mohawk College.
After graduation he worked in Ontario. He then moved to Vancouver, BC to connect his love of skateboarding with his architectural career. He lived there for many years working and designing custom concrete skateboard parks. He traveled a lot and gained both work and personal experience. He then decided to come back to Ontario and focus on personal growth and family.
The discovery of a Professor position at Mohawk set him on the path to be a college educator. A few quick years later he became a professor of Architectural Technology at Mohawk College. He loves the challenge working with students. He can be rebel in the classroom and take his students along for the ride.
When not teaching, Nathaniel spends his time with his wife, two girls. And when there is a spare second, his skateboard.
