The LINC program will help you
- Feel more confident when using your English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
- Expand your understanding of Canadian culture

- Get prepared for the demands of college if this is one of your goals

Flexible schedule
- Full-time and part-time options
- Morning, afternoon and evening classes with a mix of in-person and online learning, and online classes only
- Based on your Canadian Language Benchmark, eligible newcomers can access the following classes:
- LINC Youth (blended class) for students ages 18-25 with benchmarks 1 to 5
- LINC for students with benchmarks 4 to 7 (blended classes and online classes only)
- LINC College Preparation (blended class) for students with benchmarks 6 or higher who want to get prepared for post-secondary education
- LINC classes in Caledonia (blended class) for newcomers living in Haldimand County
Note: the blended programs are delivered at Mohawk College, Fennell Campus (135 Fennell Avenue West, Hamilton, ON L9C 0E5)
Eligible individuals must:
- Be a permanent resident of Canada, protected person (with Notice of Decision), Ukrainian temporary resident or their dependants in Canada (until March 31, 2025), and temporary resident affected by the crisis in Gaza (showing “MOME2023” in status documentation until March 31, 2027), and
- Have 18 years of age or older, and
- Live in Ontario, and
- With valid proof of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) assessment:

- The assessment has no cost for permanent residents and protected persons.

Students need to have access to the following:
