Co-Curricular Record (CCR)

Your Co-Curricular Record helps you track all your non-credit activities during your time at Mohawk College. 

Living Planet Leader Designation (WWF-Canada) 

The Living Planet Leader designation recognizes the skills and experiences you collect while studying for your professional career that demonstrate your understanding and commitment to sustainability.

Whether you are a prospective student, current student, or a professional, Mohawk offers opportunities to formally integrate sustainability into your learning.

Current Students

General Education Electives

General Education courses are those designed to broaden your academic base, extending your education beyond the main focus of your program of studies. Most students will be allowed to choose two or three General Education Electives from a menu of courses. The following are some courses which touch on the social, environmental and/or economic aspects of sustainability:

  • First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Perspectives
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Impacts of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission
  • Introduction to Globalization
  • Social Entrepreneurship
     

Please note there are no guarantee that these courses will be available in every semester.

Enactus Mohawk fosters innovation and entrepreneurship by providing you with the tools you need to make a positive impact in your community. As part of Enactus Mohawk, you’ll join the global Enactus network of students, experts and academics, and receive funding support that will help you take action and implement your ideas.

Full-Time Programs

Energy Systems Engineering Technology

  • Gain integrated skill sets that will position you well for a variety of employment opportunities tied to various electrical energy systems.
  • Study sustainability topics including clean energy sources such as wind, solar/photovoltaic, solar thermal and hybrid electric technologies and strategies for conservation and management of clean energy supported by microgrids and distributed energy systems.
  • Experience a unique program introducing a multi-disciplinary approach that focuses on the generation, capture, storage, and distribution of energy and their integration.
