Retirees' Association of Mohawk College

The Retirees’ Association of Mohawk College (RAMC) was established in 1992-93. It was the first association of its kind in the Ontario CAAT system. It has maintained a mutually beneficial relationship with Mohawk College from the beginning, celebrating milestones together including RAMC’s 25th anniversary (2018) and Mohawk College’s 50th anniversary (2017).

In 2020, RAMC and Mohawk College signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which is intended to provide a foundation and framework for closer collaboration between the College and the Association for their mutual benefit.

RAMC is organized exclusively for the benefit of its membership and for supporting Mohawk College in its aims and objectives, especially as these relate to the support of students. Through an additional membership in the Ontario Colleges Retirees’ Association (OCRA) members benefit by having a voice and representation at the provincial and local levels in helping to develop a common position on issues of interest to college retirees, especially as they relate to pensions and health benefits. RAMC provides a forum for entertainment and friendship, and donates to the Mohawk College Foundation as part of its annual giving and outreach to assist students.
