Timetables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Select an open block as soon as possible to secure your registration. You can check ‘Choose or change my timetable’ in MyMohawk for openings until the end of the 10th day of classes.

College departments can place a Hold on your MyMohawk account for a variety of reasons. This Hold prevents you from seeing grades, registering, paying fees, and choosing your timetable. If there is a Hold on the account contact the department area that placed the Hold. If there is no department area listed, please inform us using the box below and we will assist you further.

Your tuition deposit is not covered by OSAP however, you may defer the remaining balance of your fees owing if you have applied for and are eligible for OSAP. Your eligibility to defer fees will be presented to you at the time you click 'Submit to register'. Each program has specific registration opening dates. Typically, for the Fall Term, registration starts in August; for the Winter Term, it starts in December; and for the Summer Term, it starts in April. The timetable registration dates for all programs will be posted before timetables open for registration. For the exact dates, please refer to the All Academic and Important Dates or Find out when to register online.

To select your timetable, log into your MyMohawk account. Once logged in, click the “Registration” tab on your left-hand side. Under the heading "Postsecondary students", locate the subheading for the term and year you’re registering for (e.g., Fall 2023) and click “Choose or change my timetable” under that subheading. A table will appear with information about your program; click the last column with your program code. Another page will open displaying your personal information. Ensure everything is correct before clicking “Continue,” which will take you to the “Block Registration” screen. To view the schedule for each block, click the radio button next to the word “Block.” A draft timetable will appear in pink next to the selected block. Once you've chosen your preferred timetable, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Submit to Register.”

If you are a Domestic or Canadian applicant, you can apply through ontariocolleges.ca. Once your application has been submitted you will receive an acknowledgement email from Mohawk College. Here, you will receive instructions on how to access your MyMohawk account and check My Applicant Status, where you can see if anything is outstanding.

To access "My Applicant Status":

  1. Go to MyMohawk.
  2. Click on the "Applicant" tab.
  3. Under "Check Your Application Status," select "Check My Application Status."

For full-time programs, after you apply through ontariocolleges.ca, you will receive an acknowledgement email from Mohawk. In this package, you will receive instructions on how to access your MyMohawk account and check My Applicant Status, where you can see if anything is outstanding.

To access "My Applicant Status":

  1. Go to MyMohawk.
  2. Click on the "Applicant" tab.
  3. Under "Check Your Application Status," select "Check My Application Status."

You can accept an offer of admission online at ontariocolleges.ca, anytime by the deadline date listed in your offer. 

Applicants can also review their offer deadline date through the MyMohawk account under their My Application Status. You may confirm one Mohawk program and maintain your place on a wait list for another Mohawk program. If you are currently completing required subjects, you will be admitted on the condition that you complete academic subject requirements, plus any additional criteria, such as completion of your high school diploma, portfolios and/or questionnaires that may be required. 

To access "My Applicant Status":

  1. Go to MyMohawk.
  2. Click on the "Applicant" tab.
  3. Under "Check Your Application Status," select "Check My Application Status."

You can make changes to your current application by simply logging into ontariocolleges.ca and adding or deleting program choices depending on program availability. Applicants can have up to three program choices at one college and five program choices in total. You may have to delete a program choice in order to accommodate the additional program. There is no additional charge to make these changes.

Mohawk College will make offers of admission for the fall starting November 1. Wait lists for oversubscribed programs will be established on  February 1, and additional offers may follow at a later date depending on the number of confirmations. If you applied to multiple programs at Mohawk, you may receive more than one offer of admission.

For most programs, Mohawk will continue to accept applications and make offers of admission after November 1 on a first-come, first-served basis.

January start
Applications received by Ontario Colleges on or before June 1 are considered equally. Applications received after June 1 will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

To check your applicant status:

  1. Go to MyMohawk and enter your username and password. 
    • Your MyMohawk username is your MohawkID (your student number) and password is your 1-time-use password, provided on your letter of acknowledgement. 
    • If you have accessed your Mohawk College email in the past and changed your password, please use your Mohawk College email password instead of the 1-time-use password above.
  2. Click on the “Applicant” link in the menu
  3. Under "My Application" select “Check My Application Status”
  4. Monitor your program choices, eligibility, and more on the Application Status page.

We recommend that you submit all of your documentation directly to ontariocolleges.ca. For information on transcript submission you can review the ontariocolleges.ca website for further information.

If you've taken a course at another post-secondary institution, you may earn credit at Mohawk. Exemptions are granted if you show successful completion of equivalent work as defined by the course learning outcomes.

I have student account issues: Tuition & Fees, Refunds, OAN reset, Fee Statement and General Student Account Inquiries

To pay your tuition and fees online, log into your MyMohawk account. Once logged in, click the “Registration” tab on your left-hand side. Under the heading "Postsecondary students", click “Pay online” and you will be directed to a new page where you can enter the amount you are paying. 

Once you have entered the amount, click “Make Payment,” and a new page will open where you can enter your credit card information. After filling in your credit card information, click “Pay With Your Credit Card” at the bottom of the page. You may also visit the Payment Options page for other ways to pay. 

The college is required to inform students of their total anticipated fees at least three (3) months prior to the term start date. Your fee statement is sent in advance of the term to help you managed expected deadlines and amounts due.

Fee statements are sent to your Mohawk email only. Learn more about your Mohawk email and how to access it by visiting the Mohawk Email for Students web page.

Fee statements are not posted in MyMohawk or mailed to your address on file.

Mohawk College offers two types of financial awards to students: Scholarships and Bursaries.
Scholarships: Awarded to students based on academic merit, athletics, volunteer experience, or other achievements.
Bursaries: Awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and/or meet other specific criteria. For more information on the types of awards and to apply visit our Awards, Scholarships and Bursaries website.

If you've forgotten your Ontario Access Number (OAN) or password, there are two easy ways to quickly retrieve your information:

  1. Use OSAP’s online Forgot OAN and/or Password web form. 
  2. Visit the Registrar’s Office at any of our campuses, or go to any public Ontario college or university. You’ll need to bring your Social Insurance Number (SIN) card and photo ID for us to reset your account.

We recommend using one of these self-service options first.

If you are unable to use the options above (e.g., you can’t remember the answers to their questions; you did not provide or validate your email address online), a reset of your OSAP login information can be completed in person at the Fennell, Stoney Creek, or IAHS campuses. (an appointment is not necessary)

Office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday (not including holidays and/or college closures). You must bring a valid Government photo ID and proof of your SIN (SIN card or verification of SIN form).

I need to update my contact information, mailing address or change my name

There are several options for updating your name at Mohawk College. Please be sure to take into account how and where you'd like your name to appear, and if you have official government documentation for the change. You can review the different types of name changes, access forms on our Student Name Change Policy page - https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/registration-and-records/name-or-address-change

To update your address, log into MyMohawk, go to the Home tab, and select "Update my address(es)" under Personal Information.

If you no longer have access to MyMohawk, please complete the Address/Email Update Form, and we will update your record for you.

OSAP students should contact the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) and log into their online OSAP application (under Student Profile) to update their contact information and address, if applicable.

I need documentation: Verification of Enrolment, Authorization to Release My Information/Transcripts, Completion Letter, RESP

A Verification of Enrolment Form confirms your Enrolment at Mohawk College for RESP, parent benefits, etc.

Note: This form is not for immigration purposes. International students should request an immigration letter from the International Student Services department.

You will receive your Verification of Enrolment within 5 to 7 business days.

Your financial institution, insurance company, etc. may have their own Verification of Enrolment Form for us to complete. you can submit the form to verifications [at] mohawkcollege.ca (verifications[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca). Please note that you will receive your Verification of Enrolment within 5 to 7 business days

Submit transcript requests through MyMohawk under Academics > My Grades > Transcript Request. If you were a student before 2017 and don't have a MyMohawk account, complete the online Transcript Request Form.

Allow 7-10 business days for processing. Requests for transcripts with end-of-term grades will be processed after all grades are received. Information on grade submission is available on the Academic and Important Dates webpage. For transcripts with graduation status, requests will be processed about 4 weeks after convocation.

Requests for apprenticeship, archived, or government-sponsored student transcripts may take longer.             

To request a letter to provide to Immigration from the International Student Services department, please fill out the International Letter Request form - https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/form/letter-request-form

To request a replacement diploma or certificate at Mohawk College, you should complete the Diploma/Certificate Replacement Form (PDF, 291kb), and then either email the form to ask [at] mohawkcollege.ca (ask[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca) or drop it off in The Registrar's Office - Student Services (C102 at Fennell campus).

The Authorization for Release of Student Information Form is intended for a student to give consent to release Academic Records, Fee Statements, Admissions and Verification of Enrollment to a third party on your behalf

Requests for transcripts are submitted through MyMohawk - Academics tab - Transcript request.

I have I.T. Issues - I cannot log into MyMohawk / MyCanvas / My Mohawk Email account

Applicants: Your Mohawk ID is on your Letter of Acknowledgement, Offer of Admission, or fee statement.

Students: Your Mohawk ID is on your fee statement.

If you can't find your Mohawk ID or are no longer a student, submit this form indicating you don't know your ID. You'll be asked to provide additional information to verify your identity.         

Use Microsoft Online Password Reset and enter your MohawkID@mohawkcollege. ca (e.g. 000111222@mohawkcollege. ca)

Do not submit this form as this requires IT support. Please contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.

Students can access their e-mail in several different ways. When corresponding with other members of the college community, it is expected that you use your Mohawk College email account.

I have questions about applying to graduate, convocation and ticket ordering

All students in Apprenticeship, Continuing Education and Post-Secondary Programs need to complete the Application to Graduate form, even if you do not plan on attending the graduation ceremony (also known as convocation).

How to Apply:

  • Login to MyMohawk
  • Go to the ""Academics"" tab
  • Go to the ""Graduation"" channel
  • Complete the ""Application to Graduate Form Apply on Time!

To check the Grad List, an email containing your username and password for access will be sent to your Mohawk College email address. If you encounter any issues accessing your Mohawk College email or MyMohawk, you can reach out to the Help Desk here.

It's important for all potential graduates in Postsecondary programs, including those from Continuing Education, to regularly monitor the Grad List online. Even if you believe you've met the graduation requirements, do not assume your name is included - it is your responsibility to verify your status on the Grad List as soon as it becomes available.

To order convocation tickets, graduates can access the Convocation ticket website typically available in late May (for June convocation) and late September (for October convocation) through MyMohawk under the “Academics” and “Graduation” channel. Graduates themselves do not require a ticket, but guests attending the ceremony will need one for entry. Guests should have their tickets ready to be scanned at the door, either through a printed copy or displayed on a mobile device, ensuring the QR barcode is clear and visible. For those unable to attend, all ceremonies will be live-streamed and recorded, with links posted on the Mohawk College website during convocation week, enabling graduates, family, and friends to watch the ceremonies at their convenience.

You may be able to order extra convocation tickets, but please note that limited seating in the theatre restricts the number of guests allowed. If additional tickets are available, they can be requested in early June (for June convocation) and early October (for October convocation) or by accessing the Convocation ticket request site through MyMohawk, under the “Academics” and “Graduation” channel.

No, you must apply online by the posted deadline, even if you do not plan on attending the ceremony.

Navigating OSAP and Financial Support

Withdrawing or dropping classes can impact your OSAP funding. OSAP requires you to maintain a certain course load to remain eligible for funding. If your course load drops below 60% (or 40% for students with a confirmed disability) you may no longer be eligible for full OSAP support. If your enrollment status changes, you could end up with an overpayment, which means you might need to repay some of the OSAP funds you’ve already received.

For more information about OSAP course load rules and how changes might affect your funding, visit OSAP’s website.

The Ministry evaluates your funding based on current policies and guidelines (which may change annually) as well as the information provided in your application. This includes factors such as program type (e.g., 1-year, 2-year, post-graduate), student status (dependent or independent), income (from student, parent, or spouse), living situation (e.g., living at home or renting), program delivery method (in-class or online), tuition costs, and expected financial contribution.

Funding can include a combination of grants and loans, though there is no guarantee of receiving both.

There are appeal outlines and forms available to help you determine if your situation qualifies for a review.

If you would like to request a review of your OSAP assessment, start by reviewing the details you entered in your application to ensure they are correct. Log into your OSAP account, navigate to the "Status of Application" page, and click “View a summary of your application” under the “Application Form” section of the “What’s Done” list. If you find an appeal that you are eligible for, you can submit the completed appeal form and supporting documentation through the "Optional Uploads" link in the “Required Documents” section of your application. OSAP appeal reviews typically begin after the first 6 weeks of classes. Be sure to monitor your OSAP account online for updates. Please note: If approved, your OSAP application will run a funding reassessment; however, this does not guarantee that you will be assessed/eligible for additional OSAP funding.

The required OSAP documents depend on your application. You can find a list of the required documents and instructions for uploading them in your OSAP account under "Required Documents." Log in to your account to see if there are any errors or additional information needed. Your status will be updated as your application is processed. Once your status is confirmed, the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) will begin processing your funding.

Remember, all documents must be scanned and submitted as PDFs, and you can only upload one document at a time. For scanning, ensure the document is clear and easy to read before saving it as a PDF.

How to Scan a Document and Create a PDF

For the best quality, use these settings (or their equivalent) when scanning your document:

  • Scan in black and white, even if the document is in color.
  • Choose a text scan option, not a photo or picture setting.
  • If your scanner offers a dpi (dots per inch) option, set it to 150 or 200. If not, select the smallest file size option.

Before saving your scanned document as a PDF (.pdf), make sure it's clear and easy to read.

Steps to Upload a Document

  1. Scan the required document and save it as a PDF.
  2. Click the Upload button next to the document you want to upload.
  3. Use the Browse button to find your PDF file.
  4. Select the file and click Open.

You will see a confirmation message if your document was successfully uploaded. Repeat these steps for each required document.

Important Notes:

  • Only PDF files can be uploaded.
  • Password-protected files cannot be uploaded.
  • Your PDF file must be under 2MB in size.

Exception: Declaration and signature pages can be up to 5MB.

Declaration and Signature Pages

  • Ensure you upload all 4 pages of the declaration, including pages 1 and 2 that are unsigned.
  • Parental and spousal declaration forms must be signed with physical (handwritten) signatures using dark blue or black ink.
  • Scan each type of declaration form separately. For example, the 4 pages of your signature form should be a separate file from your parents' declaration and signature pages.
  • Each declaration and signature file must include all 4 pages.

Changing your program may affect your OSAP eligibility, especially if it alters your study period or course load. Speak with your Academic Area or Student Success Advisor (SSA) for advice on program changes, course selection, and more. If you’re changing programs, submit a new OSAP application for your new program of study.

Your new OSAP application may close automatically if the study period dates overlap with your previous OSAP application. Once you’ve submitted your new application, let the Financial Assistance Office know so they can update your file accordingly. Make sure to review the required documents section for your new application to ensure everything is submitted.

OSAP application deadlines depend on your study period. To ensure timely processing, apply at least 6–8 weeks before classes begin. For specific deadlines, check your OSAP account or the Financial Assistance Important Dates webpage.

Yes, OSAP offers part-time funding for eligible students enrolled in 20–59% of a full course load. Funding for non-traditional courses depends on OSAP’s assessment of program eligibility. Students must be enrolled in an OSAP-approved program; visit the ‘Financial Assistance’ section on the program page for information on OSAP eligibility.

Student’s studying through Continuing Education have the option of registering with a tuition deferral provided that their OSAP application is correct, for an OSAP-approved program, and has been assessed for funding. Course registrations cannot be processed if your OSAP application is not complete.

To move forward with your semester’s registration, please complete and submit a Continuing Education Registration form and send it to cereg [at] mohawkcollege.ca (cereg[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca). When your academic and OSAP eligibility has been confirmed by the college, your registration will be processed.

Important Student Deferral Timelines: Normal processing timelines for registration deferral requests take 5 to 7 days. If you are requesting a payment deferral in the last week of add/drop, we cannot guarantee that your request will be processed in time. To guarantee that you will be able to register before the registration deadline, you may be required to pay your tuition in full.

OSAP probation or restriction usually occurs due to issues with academic progress or previous loan defaults. If you're placed on probation, you must meet specific academic requirements to continue receiving OSAP. You may be placed on academic probation for any of the following reasons:

Frequently switching programs 

  • Dropping from a full course load to part-time
  • Withdrawing from a program
  • Failing to make progress in your studies
  • Repeating a program or taking multiple programs at the same level

If you're on academic probation, you’ll need to complete and submit an OSAP Academic Probation form.

Academic Probation Overview 
First Instance: If you're placed on probation for the first time:

  • You can still apply for and receive OSAP. 
  • The probation will apply to all post-secondary institutions that administer OSAP. 
  • The probation will remain on your OSAP account for the rest of the academic year and the following academic year. 
  • After the probation period, you must upload a transcript showing your academic progress during the probation period when reapplying for OSAP.

Second Instance: If this is your second time on probation: 

  • You will be restricted from receiving OSAP funding for at least one year. You can either: 
    • Sit out for one consecutive twelve-month period, or 
    • Complete and self-fund your education during the restriction period. 
  • The restriction will stay on your OSAP record and apply at other educational institutions, but it can be cleared once the restriction period ends.

Academic Restriction 
Academic restrictions occur when you’ve been on probation multiple times. The length of the restriction is as follows: 

  • 1st Instance: 1-year restriction 
  • 2nd Instance: 3-year restriction (if previously restricted for one year) 
  • 3rd Instance: 5-year restriction (if previously restricted for three years) 

During the restriction period, you’re not eligible for OSAP funding.

Federal and Provincial Restrictions
For more information on your federal or provincial OSAP restriction and how to clear it, follow these steps: 

  • Federal Restrictions: 
    Contact the National Student Loans Service Centre at 1-888-815-4514, and ask to speak with the Canada Student Loans Division. Ask about the steps to clear your federal restriction.
  • Provincial Restrictions: 
    Contact Ontario Shared Services at 1-800-387-5604, and ask for the Collection Management Unit. Inquire about the steps to clear your provincial restriction.
  • Overpayment Restriction 
    If your OSAP is restricted due to an overpayment, you’ll need to repay an amount to regain eligibility. To check the amount due and get details about your overpayment restriction, log in to your OSAP account online.

If you're enrolled in 60% or more of a full course load (or 40% or more if you are a student with a confirmed disability), you may apply for full-time OSAP. If you're taking between 20% and 59%, you may apply for part-time OSAP. If you’re unsure about your course load, reach out to your Student Success Advisor (SSA) to confirm your course load at Mohawk.

OSAP document review times typically take 4-6 weeks after submission. We encourage students to submit their application and all supporting documents as early as possible to avoid funding delays. If your funding hasn't been processed yet, it could be due to a few reasons, such as a recent application or missing documents. Check your OSAP application status for updates, and ensure all required documents are submitted. Processing times can be longer during peak periods, such as the start of the semester.

If you're starting a co-op term or want to stop receiving OSAP funding, you can complete and submit an interest-free status application via your OSAP account online. This application will notify National Student Loans that you remain enrolled as a full-time student. If you have already received part of your OSAP funding and no longer wish to receive your second installment of OSAP funding, please notify the Financial Assistance Office by submitting this web form. If you're on co-op for a term, you can reapply for OSAP when you return to full-time studies.

OSAP funding disbursements begin daily from the first week of each semester. Mohawk will confirm your enrollment if your application is complete and you’re enrolled in the correct course load. Once your funding is released, it will first cover any outstanding tuition and fees. Any remaining amount will be deposited into your bank account within 5-10 business days. Federal and provincial funds may arrive separately, a few days apart, which is normal.

To Avoid Delays: 
Submit all required documents: Processing can take up to 8 weeks, so submit early! 

Resolve any OSAP restrictions: Contact the Financial Assistance Office if you have questions about restrictions.

If you still have an outstanding balance on your account that OSAP hasn’t covered, you’ll need to make a payment. All students starting a new academic year must pay a $250 deposit and have a full-time OSAP application submitted before selecting their timetable. If there are any issues with your OSAP application or restrictions on your account, you can contact the Financial Assistance Office for a review or pay the balance in full.

Tuition Deferral: Processing Deferral requests typically take 5-7 days to process. If you’re requesting a deferral with less than a week left in the add/drop deadline, your deferral request may not be guaranteed. To avoid registration delays, consider paying your tuition in full if needed.

Steps to Receive an OSAP Deferral

  1. Pay the minimum deposit by the deadline. 
    • The deposit is not covered by OSAP, and a deferral will not be added if it’s outstanding. For details, see Payment Options. 
  2. Apply for OSAP. 
    • Applying early, before timetable registration, helps prevent deferral delays. 
  3. Register for classes through MyMohawk. 
    • Select the deferral option under payments when registering. For details on timetable selection, see Registering for Classes.

Please note: Students are responsible for meeting payment deadlines regardless of OSAP status.

If you withdraw or drop classes, it could affect your eligibility for scholarships or bursaries, depending on the specific terms of each award. If your enrollment status changes, your award may removed, and you may be required to repay these funds. Any changes to your enrolment status can trigger a reassessment of your OSAP funding. This includes situations like:

  • Reducing your course load 
  • Withdrawing from your program or semester 
  • Changes in income or resources

To be considered for awards, you must submit an online Scholarships and Bursaries Application every semester you attend Mohawk College as a full-time student. For tips on how to apply, visit our Awards webpage.

The Scholarships and Bursaries application is open during the following dates:

  • Fall: August 1 - September 30 
  • Winter: December 1 - January 31 
  • Spring/Summer: April 1 - May 31

Important Notes About Application Deadlines:

  • After the application closes, reviews for awards will begin and continue throughout the semester. 
  • Make sure to check your Mohawk College email frequently. If we need additional supporting documents, you will be contacted and given a deadline. Missing this deadline may result in your application being excluded from further review.
  • You will receive an email about the outcome of your application, either confirming you’ve been selected for an award or explaining that you did not meet the criteria. Award decisions are final, and reassessments will not be made.

Receiving Your Award:

  • If you meet the requirements, your award will first be applied to your student account to help cover any outstanding tuition.
  • If you don’t have any tuition owing, your account will be automatically reviewed for a refund—you don’t need to request it. 
  • Refunds are processed within 4 weeks of your award being applied to your student account. 
  • To check your balance, visit MyMohawk, go to the "Finances" tab, and click on "My Financial Statement." A positive balance means you owe money, while a negative balance indicates a refund is due.
