2024 Student Parking Update
Parking passes are limited, and applicants are encouraged to purchase as soon as possible after sales begin.
Returning Students that held a Lot M parking pass in the 24/25 Academic Year:
For returning students who held a Lot M permit in the previous academic year, parking permit sales will begin on July 15th, 2024. Transponders from the previous year can be reactivated for Fall 2024, so purchasing a new transponder is not required.
New Students or those that did not hold a Lot M parking in the 24/25 Academic Year:
For those who did not previously own a permit, Lot M permits will be on sale as of July 15th, 2024. Lot M parking permits can be purchased for $55/month and, a one-time fee of $55 is also required to purchase your transponder. Transponders will have to be picked up from our parking office located in building T32, room 104 in West Campus. Individuals can return transponders after use to receive a $40 refund.
How to buy a parking pass:
Parking passes can be purchased online. Simply visit the McMaster parking website, click the "Pay Online" option, then login using your MacID and purchase your desired permit!

Which permit should I buy?
HONK Flexpass/MultiPack
Flexpass/MultiPack are 5 or 10 visit permits that are purchased up front and activated as needed. Flexpass/MultiPack are only available for purchase on the Honk app or website and are valid only in the Academic year they are purchased during. Once purchased, Flexpass/MultiPack are non-refundable or transferable.
How to purchase a Flexpass/MultiPack
In the Honk App or website:
- Search by Address – Mohawk College Campus
- Select Long Term Parking and Search
- Select the MultiPack from the list and complete payment and checkout details
How to use MultiPack
Once the initial MultiPack has been purchased in your Honk account, each time you come to campus, you can redeem a pass from the Sessions page in your account:
- Navigate to the ‘Sessions’ page in your account
- Click on your MultiPack session
- On the MultiPack session page, tap the “Redeem” button. You will be directed to the zone page.
- Select a rate and finish checking out.
- You’re done!
