I am unable to see my courses in MyCanvas?
If you cannot see a course in MyCanvas, this is likely because it has not been published yet. Each course must be published separately. Please follow up with your specific faculty after your first class.
When will I get my schedule?
Schedules will be issued via an email link prior to class.
Can I still work while attending training?
Block release training is scheduled 5 days per week and indicates full-time studies. Eligible recipients in block release classes will receive a 16-digit EI code which will be issued by the Ministry (MLITSD) for the purposes of Employment Insurance (EI).
Are trade equivalency assessments available?
Trade assessment tests are available through Skilled Trades Ontario.
When will I get an offer for school?
Apprentices must be registered with The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skill Development (MLITSD) in order to receive an offer of in-class training. Offers of classroom training are issued by the Ministry 105 days before the class start date via email from Apprenticeship Ontario to the email address the apprentice provided at the time of registration with Skilled Trades Ontario. Apprentices may update their email address if needed with their local MLITSD office or through the Skilled Trades Ontario Portal.

How do I register for the next class?
Offers of classroom training are issued by the Ministry 105 days before the class start date via email. Please contact your local Ministry office for further information.
How do I collect Employment Insurance while in training?
Apprentices will receive a 16-digit Employment Insurance (EI) code via email. The email you will receive is issued from Apprenticeship Ontario and is titled Apprenticeship Notice: Confirmation of Classroom Training. If you have not received the code please contact your local Ministry office to have it reissued.
The class is full, how do I get on a cancellation list?
The college does not maintain a cancellation list as this is subject to the apprentice’s registration date and offers of in-class training are managed by the Ministry.
Where do I make my payment to attend class?
Payments are made online after receiving your official offer from the Ministry. All payments are made online, payable by Visa or Mastercard only. Review the payment page and then proceed to orange box that states: “pay online”.
How can I make a payment when it is asking me for my student number and I don’t have one?
Please leave the student number field blank and proceed with online payment form.
How can I make payment when I am receiving an error message with the phone number field?
Please leave the number field blank and resume with online payment form.
How do I access a receipt?
A copy of your receipt displays online after payment. If you missed saving a copy at time of payment you can access an alternative copy of all your student information from MyMohawk.
To review your payments / receipts:
- Login into MyMohawk
- Select the Finance menu from the left-hand menu bar
- Look at the Statement Box
- Select My Financial Statement option
- Screen grab or print screen function for a copy of your receipt.
How do I access my grades?
Transcripts must be requested using your Mohawk College Student ID number - log into MyMohawk.
You can access a copy of all your student information once logged into MyMohawk. To review your grades / or to request a transcript:
- Login into MyMohawk
- Select the Academic menu from the left-hand menu bar
- Look at the “My grades” information box
- Select Final Grades
