Positions Appointed by the Board
Mohawk College Board of Governors is comprised of 12 Governors appointed by the Board itself. As an ideal candidate for the role of Governor on the Mohawk College Board of Governors, you have an affiliation or familiarity with Mohawk College and demonstrate a keen interest in supporting its growth and development. Your experience on a volunteer board has equipped you with knowledge of best practices in board governance, and you ideally have a solid understanding of governance in an academic environment.
You can also be experienced leader with entrepreneurial skills and key competencies essential for providing leadership, sound decision-making, and oversight to the College. Your professional background may include expertise in areas such as Law, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Sustainability or Acute Healthcare and/or other relevant academic fields.
Your expression of interest in this volunteer role will be accepted in the form of a cover letter and a biography or resume. Your cover letter should detail your motivations for serving on the Board and how your skills and experience align with the responsibilities of a Governor.
