Rates & Payment Options for Mohawk Residence

IMPORTANT NOTE: Mohawk College Residence does NOT defer residence fee payments for OSAP. Arrangements should be made to meet the fee deadlines outlined below.

Rates apply to full-time students enrolled at Mohawk College. Residence fees include utilities, internet (including residence-wide Wi-Fi), and a furnished suite.

Students can apply for Residence before they are accepted into their program. Your Residence application is separate from your College application.

Mohawk College Residence requires you to purchase a Mandatory Meal Plan.

The fees outlined below do not include Winter Break closure period. Please contact residence directly regarding staying over the winter break.

Fennell Residence Rates

 

Two Bedroom - Double Occupancy Suite - PRIVATE BEDROOM

Summer 2024 (May - August)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $3,200.00 due April 15, 2024

 

Option 2: Split Payment
Includes additional $100 administration fee.

  • $1,200.00 due April 15, 2024
  • $1,100.00 due May 15, 2024
  • $1,000.00 due June 15, 2024

Academic Year 2024-2025 (September to April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $9,000.00 due June 15, 2024

 

Option 2: Split Payment
Includes additional $125 administration fee. 

  • $3,325.00 due June 15, 2024
  • $5,800.00 due September 15, 2024

 

Option 3: Split Payment
Includes additional $150 administration fee.

  • $3,350.00 due June 15, 2024
  • $2,800.00 due September 15, 2024
  • $3,000.00 due November 15, 2024

Winter 2025 (January – April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $4,500.00 due December 1, 2024

 

Please note: if accepted into residence after December 1st, payment is due immediately.

 

Two Bedroom - Quad Occupancy Suite - SHARED BEDROOM

Summer 2024 (May - August)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $2,428.50 due April 15, 2024

 

Option 2: Split Payment:
Includes additional $100 administration fee.

  • $1,264.25 due April 15, 2024
  • $1,264.25 due May 15, 2024

Academic Year 2024-2025 (September to April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $4,857.00 due June 15, 2024

 

Option 2: Split Payment
Includes additional $100 administration fee. 

  • $1,550.00 due June 15, 2024
  • $3,407.00 due September 15, 2024

 

Option 3: Split Payment
Includes additional $150 administration fee.

  • $1,550.00 due June 15, 2024
  • $1,725.50 due September 15, 2024
  • $1,728.50 due November 15, 2024

Winter 2025 (January - April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • $2,428.50 due December 1, 2024

Meal Plan Fees

Summer 2024 (May - August)

No Meal Plan Offered

Academic Year 2024-2025 (September to April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • Due June 15, 2024

 

Option 2: Split Payment
 

  • 50% of meal plan fees due June 15, 2024
  • Remaining 50% of meal plan fees due August 1, 2024

 

Winter 2025 (January - April)

Option 1: Single Payment

  • The total cost of a Winter Term Meal Plan is 50% of the full year amount
  •  Due December 1, 2024

 

Please note: if accepted into residence after December 1st, payment is due immediately.

Payment Methods

Certified Cheque, Money Order, Bank Draft

Certified cheques, money orders, or bank drafts made out to "CLC Mohawk" can be couriered (for tracking) or dropped off in person to the Residence. 

If sending via courier please include a letter with the student's name and invoice number so it can be applied to the correct account.

Online Debit

Using the Housing Portal students can pay by online debit. 

This method is supported by Bank of Nova Scotia, Toronto Dominion, Royal Bank of Canada, or Bank of Montreal. 

New Debit cards or Visa Debit cards may not work from the above-mentioned banks. If your card number cannot be fully entered, you will need to choose another payment method.

Note: Personal daily banking limits apply.

Bill Payee via Banking

The Residence can be set up as a 'Bill Payee' at your bank (similar to setting up a credit card, or other bill).

Ensure to list the payee as "Mohawk - Residence" or “Mohawk College Residence Fees" (depending on your bank). 

Use the invoice number found in the top middle of your invoice as the account number that is requested when setting us up as a payee. 

If you do not have an invoice, you may find this number by logging into the Residence My Housing Portal; it is your six or seven digit "Account Number" found on your "Profile Summary" page. 

Please note that this method of payment usually takes roughly 5-10 business days to be processed. 

If your banking institution does not have "Mohawk - Residence" listed as a payee, please choose another method of payment.

Wire transfers may be made available to international students upon request only.

IMPORTANT: your Mohawk College tuition account is separate from your Residence account.  Please do not pay your Residence fees to the College, these should be separate transactions.

 


 

Termination & Cancellation Policy

Please review Section 8 (Termination & Cancellation Policy) of the current Student Residence Agreement (SRA) located under Residence Documents in the Resident Resources tab. 

Cancellations

Cancellations occur prior to move-in. Applications must be cancelled through your Housing Portal account.

 

Withdrawals

Withdrawals occur after move-in. If you wish to withdraw from residence, please contact the info [at] mohawkresidence.ca (Front Desk) and request a Residence Withdrawal Form. You must return it within 5 business days of your anticipated departure date.
