Welcome to the CHSR
We offer healthcare focused simulation-based education, experiential learning and research through the replication of real-world scenarios.
Within the Mohawk College School of Health, the CHSR houses multiple high-fidelity simulation suites and clinic-styled spaces, a flexible modality simulation-skills space, apartments for activities of daily living, debriefing spaces, and a comprehensive selection of real-world clinical skills equipment which are available for learner or faculty use.
Our Facilities
The CHSR is designed to meet the needs of your simulation experience, whether it be through: acute-care patient rooms; apartment-styled spaces; clinic-styled rooms; a flexible space that caters to both Virtual Reality and In-Person experiential delivery; and optimized debriefing spaces.
All of these spaces have been fitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual recording capacity to allow for various options of post-activity review. In addition to the myriad of spaces available, the CHSR boasts a diverse fleet of high fidelity simulators that cater to most patient populations and simulation scenarios.
Our Team
The CHSR comprises a team of professionals with extensive backgrounds in healthcare, simulation and education.
With significant experience in simulation pedagogy, design, implementation, facilitation and evaluation- the team helps support all programs for the School of Health as well as various external groups such as community and industry partners.
