Transportation Information for Canadian Students
There are five main transportation options:
1) Montreal shuttle bus (prepaid, round trip)
2) Drive with your parents (Do NOT drive yourself)
3) Train + GO bus + taxi/Uber
4) Bus + taxi/Uber + GO bus + taxi/Uber
5) Airplane to Pearson Airport + airport shuttle (prepaid) or airport taxi
It is your responsibility to arrange your transportation to and from Mohawk College.
We do NOT recommend options 3 & 4 (above) because they are complicated.
Please book your transportation quickly as some options may sell out or increase in price as time passes.
1) Montreal Shuttle Bus
*Recommended option
Jonquiere College offers a chaperoned shuttle bus trip from Montreal to Mohawk College (round trip only). If you would like to take this shuttle bus, you must pay for it in advance. We will provide you with the link once you are registered in the program.
Note: The Montreal shuttle bus has limited seats and sells out quickly!
Shuttle Bus Information
July 5
9:00am: The shuttle bus will leave Wal-Mart (opposite Namur metro station).
Wal-Mart address: 5400 Jean Talon West, Montreal, Quebec, H4P 2T5
A monitor will accompany you on the bus. There will be 1-2 stops along the way for food and bathroom breaks. You must pay for your meals.
9:00 to 10:00pm: Arrive in Hamilton
August 6
9:00am: Leave Mohawk College from the DBARC. There will be stops for food and bathroom breaks.
5:00 to 6:00pm: Arrive in Montreal at the Wal-Mart (same location as July 5).
2) By Car (with your parents)
Your parents may drive you to Mohawk College on Sunday, July 5. Please arrive between 1:00pm and 9:00pm. Your homestay hosts will meet you on campus.
Drop off location: the Student Residence at Mohawk College (Fennell Campus)
Address: 245 Fennell Avenue West, Hamilton, Ontario, L9C 7V7
Parking: Park in parking lot 8. We will give you a code for free parking when you arrive.

Do NOT drive yourself to Mohawk College.
Students are not allowed to drive any motorized vehicles during the program. Parking is NOT available at the homestay.
Departure Day: Thursday, August 6 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. Students should arrange the pick up location with their parents/guardians.
3) Train (ViaRail)
- Take a train to Toronto's Union Station.
- Next, take a GO bus from Union Station to Hamilton GO Station. Cost: approx. $15
- Take a taxi or Uber from the Hamilton GO station to the Mohawk College residence. Cost: $10-$15
4) Bus (Megabus or Greyhound)
- Take a bus from Montreal to the Toronto Coach Terminal (610 Bay Street).
- Take a taxi or Uber from the Toronto Coach Terminal to the GO Bus Terminal at Union Station. Cost: approx. $10
- Take a GO bus from Union Station to Hamilton GO Station. Cost: approx. $15
- Take a taxi or Uber from Hamilton's GO Station to the Mohawk College Residence. Cost: $10-$15
5) Fly to Pearson Airport
1. Book a flight to Toronto's Pearson Airport. Do NOT fly into Billy Bishop Airport.
2. Purchase a seat on the Explore airport shuttle bus. The Explore airport shuttle bus will take students from Pearson Airport to Mohawk College. The link will be provided to you once you are registered in the program. Cost: TBD
*If you do NOT book a spot on the Explore airport shuttle bus, you can take an airport taxi from Pearson Airport to Mohawk College. Cost: approx. $100 one way
