Overview

Apprenticeship Exemption Test Inquiries

Please contact the Mohawk Testing Centre for any questions related to writing your exam and fee payment.  

For all questions and concerns regarding your apprenticeship and exam policy, please contact the Ontario College of Trades website. 

If you have any questions regarding eligibility or whether you are writing the correct test, please contact your local Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development's Apprenticeship Offices

Please refer to the Testing Centre Rules and Policies prior to attending your exemption test appointment. 

Fees and Payment

A non-refundable fee of $150 +HST will be required to be processed at the time of your testing request.  

If you need to reschedule, you must notify the Testing Centre by email (testingcentre.stoneycreek [at] mohawkcollege.ca (testingcentre[dot]stoneycreek[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca)) at least 48 hours in advance.  If adequate notice is provided, you will be provided with a new test date.  

How to Request a Test

Interested and eligible candidates can email testingcentre.stoneycreek [at] mohawkcollege.ca (testingcentre[dot]stoneycreek[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca) for registration and payment information.

Day of Test

ARRIVE ON TIME. We highly recommend you arrive for your exam at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow time to find parking and the testing location. Testers who arrive late may not be permitted to write.  

Ensure you have a valid government-issued photo ID (health cards are not accepted). 

Do not bring valuables with you. All personal items, including cellphones, laptops and purses, will not be permitted in the testing area. 

All supplies will be provided to you. Testers are not able to use their personal code books or reference materials while writing the Apprenticeship Exemption test.
