Global Learning Team
The Global Learning Team is dedicated to enhancing the educational journey of full-time students, faculty, and staff through organized global learning experience opportunities via our international partnerships. These connections provide participants with valuable international exposure and enrich the Mohawk community’s academic and cultural understanding both locally and globally. The Global Learning team manages inbound and outbound student mobility including faculty led study abroad travel, Collaborative Online Learning (COIL) and Capacity Building Projects.

Since my first international educational experience as a student, I've been drawn to support those who are starting a new journey - within a new country or in their academic career. With over twenty years of working in post-secondary education, I have been fortunate that my career has allowed me to have traveled to over twenty countries, gaining extensive experience as an International Education Professional.

Kimberly Deonanan
Global Learning Support Office
Coming to Canada as an international student herself, Kimberly Deonanan joined the Mohawk International family in 2020 as an Arrivals Coordinator and now proudly hold the position of Global Learning Support Officer. She came to Canada in 2010 from Trinidad and Tobago on a CARICOM Exchange program and pursued degrees in both Hospitality and Tourism Management and Human Rights and Equity. Making Canada her new home over the years, she has shared her passion for culture and travel through her work experiences as a Student Travel Coordinator and Advisor. Additionally, having traveled to numerous countries herself and maximizing all opportunities to learn and experience different cultures and traditions, she is able to relate to the diversity of the international community. She looks forward to combining these experiences to ensure all students participating in global learning opportunities have a warm, hospitable and educational time.

Ricardo works with students and partners from Latin America. He prides himself on developing positive relationships with all of his partners and students. In particular, he enjoys helping students choose the right education to fulfill their career goals and contributes to helping them achieve a positive Canadian experience.

Breska Ulhaq
Global Initiatives Specialist
Breska works with students and agent partners from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia regions. As an immigrant to Canada and a recent post-secondary graduate herself, she connects with the experience of discovering opportunities in a new country and the excitement of personal growth through higher education. She is enthusiastic about supporting students with their transition to Mohawk and with their exciting academic journey ahead.
