Second Program Application for Enrolled Students and Recent Graduates
A second program at Mohawk can help you deepen your specialization and build on your existing skills, ultimately enhancing your expertise and employability.
If you're currently enrolled or have recently graduated and are interested in a second program, please refer to the instructions on the relevant page to learn more and apply.
If you don't intend to complete your current program or have received a CW status and would like to switch programs, do not fill out the form below. Instead, book an appointment with an International Student Advisor in room J137 at the Fennell campus to discuss your next steps and program options.
How to Apply for a Second Program
To apply for a second program, please fill out the form below as early as possible, as programs fill quickly.
An application fee is not required for most second-program applications. However, some exceptions apply.
Step 1: Check program availability through the Program Search.
If your program of interest is closed, there is no guarantee that your request can be accommodated.
Step 2: Ensure that you meet the requirements for your prospective program.
If you are unsure or have questions, email intl.representatives [at] mohawkcollege.ca (intl[dot]representatives[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca).
Step 3: Complete the form.
Once you have submitted it, please allow up to 10 business days to process your request.
Step 4: Monitor your email account.
Once you submit the request for an open intake, the admissions team will confirm seat availability and give you access to OCAS to view your admission status.
Important: Program and campus changes are not permitted once an acceptance letter has been issued.
What Happens Next
If you qualify for admission into a second program, you will be issued a Letter of Acceptance. A separate email outlining your tuition fee amount, tuition deposit and deadline will also be sent to you. You will be required to:
Secure your seat
- Accept your offer in the OCAS System
- Pay your tuition fees by the deadline indicated in the email
Extend your Study Permit
- If your study permit expires before your second program, pay your tuition deposit by the indicated deadline, then apply for a Proof of Study Letter or by logging into MyMohawk>Registration>International Students>Letter Request Form.
- A Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) Letter will also be provided to you.
- Use your new Official Letter of Acceptance, Fee Invoice, Proof of Study, and Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) to extend your study permit here. We recommend applying for a study permit extension before your permit expires.
