The Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) is not staffed or designated as a crisis centre and does not generally provide crisis support or reach out to students without their consent.
Students experiencing a mental health crisis are referred to St. Joseph's Health Centre Emergency Department or COAST.
If a student is experiencing a medical or mental health emergency on campus, please call Mohawk College Security at 905-575-2003 or dial 55 from College phones.
During our regular hours, 8:30-4:00, Monday to Friday, HWC staff may be available to help direct staff or students on how to support for a student in distress or to provide brief crisis intervention to students who present for support.
